When a hydraulic pump is under normal operating conditions, the barrel is fixed or centered through the spline shaft and the sphere center of the port plate. Incorrect or too loose spline dimensions cannot provide a good centering, which can cause abnormal pump damage or a short operating life of the pump.
In Maragon Hydraulics, we strictly control all spline dimensions of the barrels to make them fit well with the drive shaft. Our quality check standard is similar as OEM’s and the tolerance “Mi” should be within +0.05 till Max +0.15. All barrels purchased from manufacturers will have to be checked on all key dimensions before stocked or sold. If dimensions not pass our quality check, a custom barrel will have to be manufactured per our request or our drawing.
