Lots of hydraulic repair friends meet some difficulty when they want to take out the hydraulic motor piston rings of A2FE, A2FM, A6VE, A6VM etc. 

Hereby, The repair engineer of Maragon Hydraulics would like to share some skills as follows:

Part 1: Tools needed for remove off piston rings

Circlip pliers*1, Thin Knife*1,  

Part 2: Procedure of remove off piston rings from pistons

Step1, Pulling out the piston ring from the piston grove by using a thin knife like below piture.

Step2, Expand the piston rings by using the modified circlip pliers, refer to below picture.

Step3, When inner dia of piston rings big enough, take out the rings easily from the pistons. See below example.

Step4, Take the next rings out same as the last procedure of Step3.

Part 3: Procedure of mount piston rings into pistons

Step1, Pre-mount the piston rings into the piston by hand like below picture.

Step2, Expand the piston rings by using the modified circlip pliers, refer to below picture.

Step3, When inner dia of piston rings big enough, move the rings easily into the pistons very slowly to avoid a rush bumping. See below example.

Step4, Repeat Step 3 to move this piston ring into the grove near the sphere. 

Step5, Mount the next ring into piston grove by repeating Step 3, done!
